M9 Dance Age is a Seasonal Dance Concert aimed at revolutionizing dance in Nigeria and uplifting the Nigerian dance industry to attain and maintain relevance and significance in the global dance community.
M9 Dance Age is orchestrated to constantly feature different top dance ACTS across Nigeria and bring hidden dance Talents to the spotlight. The event venue will often move from one state to another. High profile dance companies, dance schools, dance crews, upcoming dance stars, fans, large audience, partners and sponsors gather here to experience the splendor of exceptional dance performances as we aim to foster talent development, promote businesses, tourism, peace and national unity, amidst great fun and happiness.
Each season of M9 Dance Age will produce a dance video that will publicize Nigerian talented dance kids, teenagers and youths to the rest of the world via various media and internet platforms. Consequently, many outstanding dancers will definitely get endorsement deals to perform in other platforms and this will generate employment and further build meaningful business relationships between our partners, sponsors and our esteemed audience.

If you're talented or very talented and you feel you will be successful in life through your talent; maybe because you've seen some other talented people succeeded, hey,you may be living in a terrible nightmare. Talent alone is not enough, no matter how natural and great the talent you possess is.
No matter the ability one possess in life, without discipline and great commitment, one cannot be successful with it.
Haven't you observe that it's only few talented people that make it in life! Meanwhile almost everybody is talented in one way or another. So what happened to the whole rest? The answer is already answered in the question. Talent is never enough to succeed in life.
These days, the dancing PROFESSION is trying to make a global wave. But only few dancers are succeeding with Dance. These are probably even dance entrepreneurs, not dancers who solely rely on active dancing for livelihood. OK, I just made a great point there, and the point is, you need to think beyond using your talent to promote your life. Instead, start using entrepreneurship principles to promote your talent and that will eventually land you in a better place; where Talent driven dancers can't attain.
Since talent is not enough, two main things you need to add to your talent for your life to experience a real success is Discipline and Commitment.
You must discipline yourself in every way possible.
Unfortunately, and maybe the real reason why majority of talented people fail in life is; talented people are easily filled with pride and pride is the father of destruction of talent. On the other hand, discipline is the mother of talent.
Staying and believing in what you do,no matter the obstacles that hit you; that's commitment. You need commitment for your talent to eventually see the global Spotlight. Not giving up,not getting discouraged, not being lazy, not changing your dreams! COMMITMENT.
With Discipline and Commitment, hey, your talent has become more than talent. It's now talent-plus (talent+) and that's the key to unlock any success your talent can ever bring.

There are some vital facts or let me say evidence that makes the act of dance so unique and lovely. These facts or factors don't ever change ( immune to change ). If you are a professional dancer or someone just dancing for fun, I believe this discovery will help you dance more with more joy.
DANCE FACTS
1. Dance is universal.
Anywhere in the world, dance exist there.
2. Inbuilt.
Dance is inbuilt in every human. Every human can dance naturally without any restrain or study.
3. Recognizable.
Anywhere you see dance, you know it's dance no matter how the steps or costumes may appear.
4. Meant for joy.
Only a happy or excited person (s) can dance. No sad person can dance. Even a foot won't move if a sad person tries to dance.
5. Tribal.
Every tribe of people in this world have their own dance style.
6. Learnable.
Dance is something that can be leant, especially a different dance style.
7. Heavenly.
Dance exist even in heaven. And I believe God is the best dancer of all times because He created it.
8. Hell banned.
There is no dance in hell fire! No way.
9. Soul lift.
A person's soul is lifted to function better whenever he's dancing.
10. Healthy.
Dance promotes good health
11. Art.
Dance is an art and it can be studied in higher institutions.
12. Dance is sport.
Yea, dance is pure sport because it has all the sporting Characteristics.
13. Unity.
Dance unites people. As a matter of fact, dance is one of the strongest human unity tool in the world.
14. Professional.
Dance is a professional job
15. For the living.
Dance is only for the living. Dead people can't dance.

I know you have heard about what dance is and you might even have your own opinion about the different definitions of dance.
The rhythmic movement of your body to a piece of sound ( usually musical ) is what many have accepted as what dance is. It's like the most common definition.
But for different people and purpose of dancing, dance could mean different things but all meaning almost the same thing. Take for instance, a professional dancer sees dance a bit different from a normal guy who just follow the wave of dance as part of life.
Please permit me to say, dance is not the movement of your body to beat ( piece of sound or music ). That's what it appears to be but dance is more than that, even for someone who's not into professional dancing.
So I say, " Dance is the movement of your emotions to beat ( piece of sound or music ) to a point where the music and your emotions become ONE ".
The movement may meet the rhythmical requirement but it still may not complete the full meaning of dance. Until the movement of your body to the beat and your emotions about the beat becomes one, you have not fulfilled the definition of dance.
So many people, more people dance but don't ever get to this point of body movement and personal emotion becoming one. That's the real point where dance becomes dance.
Some people reach that point maybe due to excessive joy resulting from promotion in the office, child birth, excellent exam result and so on. Something good happens and the motivation to reach the point of DANCE came.
For professional dancers, getting to this point is by hard work, focus, passion and love for dancing.

M9 Dance Academy trains approximately 400 students in each academic calendar beginning from 2014 across some big private schools in Bayelsa, Nigeria. This figure is bound to increase as time goes on.
Sometime before now, dance was not regarded as something important, not just in Bayelsa but throughout Nigeria. However, change came and these days, dance is spreading as younger generation finds great interest in it.
On our path, M9 Dance Academy is causing a strong dance revolution in Bayelsa, training hundreds of young dancers who go on to positively affect the society with their wonderful acquired dance skills in ballet, acrobatics, gymnastics, lyrical and contemporary dance styles. Also, through dance, lots of young people are now very useful to themselves, their families and the society at large.

Blackout is the the name of Bayelsa Dancers Association (BDA) Bboy team.
The name "Blackout" is very weird to many. To some, it connotes darkness and darkness is scary. To some others it portrays fear in someone's mind.
But according to the Blackout team, the name "Blackout" is inspirational to dancers and those who are involved in entertainment.
It means power, energy, suspence. In Bboy battle, the name can easily intimidate an opponent.
Blackout is a very energetic Bboy team that demonstrate high creatively and neatness of routine whenever they do their thing. It's sweet to watch them and bitter to forget them.
As dance rise to a new level in Bayelsa State, Nigeria, the Blackout are playing a major role in this revolution.
